(9:00am - 10:00am PST)

This one-hour continuing education activity provides a comprehensive, evidence-based review of compression therapy as a cornerstone intervention in the management of chronic lower extremity wounds — particularly venous leg ulcers and lymphedema-related wounds. The course integrates anatomy and physiology of the venous and lymphatic systems with current staging frameworks (CEAP Classification and ISL Staging of Lymphedema) to establish a strong clinical foundation. Participants will explore landmark expert opinion consensus from the American Venous Forum (AVF), the American Vein and Lymphatic Society (AVLS), and the Society for Vascular Medicine (SVM), with specific emphasis on the recommendation that C3 venous disease patients should be assessed and treated utilizing a lymphedema-care framework.
